Malaria
Malaria is one of the most common epidemic and parasitic disease in the world. It is caused by Plasmodium parasite and transmitted from people to people through the bites of female Anopheles mosquitoes.
Rapid Diagnosis Test
WHO has been provided malaria pandemic regions with insecticide-treated mosquito nets (ITNs), artemisinin-based combination therapy, indoor residual spray, as well as rapid test diagnostic (RDT).
BioDesign Detection Kit
BioDesign Quantitative Malaria RDT Kit is a novel solution with advanced technologies implemented to deliver the best detection that most of the devices on the market cannot offer. With new features available, we believe
Testing and Results
We test for No pLDH and 1nM groups (which is the detection limit) during experiment. For all experiments performed throughout the development of the present device, no actual saliva samples, infected or not, were used. Instead, pLDH-containing “samples” are formulated by diluting stock pLDH to desired concentrations with PBS
Market Potiential
According to UNITAID 2014 report, the demand for Malaria Rapid Diagnostic test has dramatically increased globally from 45 million test in 2008 to be more than 205 million test in 2015 [2]. However, this number is still not satisfy the actual need of the market, which requires to be 1.4 billion tests for 2013 to 2016.
